Just for a change, I headed east to Klosters to try the shot between Klosters and Klosters Dorf again. The sun was just getting onto the track as I arrived but as 605 approached with train 815, it disappeared behind a mountain, only to reappear a few minutes later once the train had gone. After that initial setback, it was full sun all the way, with classes Ge6/6ii, Ge4/4i, Ge4/4iii and Ge4/4ii all photographed in a 30 minute period (locos 704, 610, 649 and 625 on trains 1327, 8027, 1029 and 1229 respectively). Getting 610 was particularly lucky as the shuttle trains don’t run from Klosters to Klosters Dorf if there are no passengers, which is most of the time. And if a train doesn’t go down, the ECS doesn’t come back.
Next stop was Bergün for a couple of Schlittelzüge with 602 and 606, also in brilliant light.
The final destination was Celerina, where the light had grown very hazy. 603 was on the ECS for 856 to S-chanf and 706 was on 1145 from Chur. Crocodile 415 was also seen running light from Samedan to St. Moritz in conjunction with the Bernina celebrations and steam snowplough Xrotd 9213 was seen heading for St. Moritz on the line from Pontresina.
I didn't go to St. Moritz where the new "Bernina 100" livery on 619 was officially unveiled and there was a snowplough demonstration with 9213. As fancy liveries go, 619's definitely one of the better ones.
At the opposite end of the spectrum, new unit 3502 was working trains 1622, 1613, 1644, 1637, 4668, 1668, 1661 and 4661 on the Bernina - the first time on scheduled services?

And finally 512 worked a special from Zizers Altlöser to Klosters and back.

- 701 departed Pontresina at 19:55 to work some very late Bergün - Preda shuttles, finishing after midnight.
