After six days, the weather finally cleared up and the sun stayed out all day. Once again, my destination was the Oberengadin, specifically the area between La Punt-Chaumes-ch and Cinuos-chel-Brail on the Scuol-Tarasp line east of Bever. 603 and 604 were out again on the Pontresina – Scuol-Tarasp trains with 624 on the third turn and 618 covering the short workings to S-chanf. All in all, a rewarding day with some particularly attractive locations found between Madulain and S-chanf. Elsewhere, 606 was on the Bergün – Preda shuttles, 702 worked freight 5115 in the morning and 705 and 704 were at Samedan in the evening, waiting to work freights 5164 and 5966 respectively.

During the evening, 619 worked through Filisur on train 1169, en-route to St. Moritz for an event to celebrate 100 years of the Bernina. As would have been expected, the loco had been repainted in a special livery, predominantly dark blue with a bold "Bernina 100" and a representation of a train on the spiral viaduct at Brusio.
