Day three of the trip and the sun finally decided to appear, although there was plenty of cloud around as well. The whole day was spent on the Nürnberg - Hof line between Schnabelwaid and Marktredwitz, trying to get some spots I hadn’t successfully got before. I still haven’t got most of them. There should have been six freights, according to the information on www.cargonautus.de, but only three trains were seen and only two of them were photographed in sun.

It was noticeable that the three freights seen were all worked by 233s, a change from previous years when 232s predominated. Regio Express workings were all 612s without a single 610 appearing. Kirchenlaibach - Hof stoppers were all Agilis class 650 railbuses.
