Another gloomy day spent checking out positions on the Ulm - Lindau line, between Bad Schussenried and Biberach, and the Memmingen - Hergatz line, between Leutkirch and Kißlegg. Once more, several very worthwhile locations were identified on lines that I’d always considered as dud.

Some evidence of freight activity was seen with 232.703, stabled at Friedrichshafen on Saturday, pushing a train of Fals hoppers under a loader at Roßberg on the Aulendorf - Kißlegg line around 09:00 and an HGK class 66 hauling oil tanks west from Leutkirch towards Kißlegg around 14:45. Passenger trains were generally as expected except that IRE4226 from Lindau to Stuttgart was formed of a pair of 611s instead of the expected 218 shoving dostos.
