It was one of those days! No, not in a bad way. Although I didn’t take my first photo until after midday, everything worked perfectly from then on. By the time the sun finally dropped behind the hills I’d achieved almost as much as in the last 11 days put together. Apparently I’m now off suicide watch.

The first few hours were spent driving from Windischeschenbach to Horb, arriving just before midday as the sky started to clear. Then it was non-stop action, starting with 113.267 on IC185. 120.146 on IC280 and 181.209 on IC186 added to the interest as did 113.267 returning on IC184 and 185.088 on a southbound container train, running in exactly the same path as a train of coal hoppers last week. Disappointingly, IC187 and IC281 were 101s but they still made good pictures as did several 146s on Stuttgart - Singen REs.
