The last day of the trip started with a trip to Ediger-Eller to try some shots on the bridge there from various positions. At midday I moved on to Bullay with the intention of catching a bus to Pünderich where there are some nice shots across the river. Unfortunately there were long gaps in the Sunday bus service so I tried the bridge at Bullay instead. It didn’t make a lot of difference anyway as the light went before I could get any shots. Then it was just a case of heading back to Koblenz, collecting my luggage, having another argument with a ticket machine and catching a train back to Köln/Bonn Flughafen for the flight home.

Even on a Sunday freight traffic was buoyant with 15 freights seen in less than 11 hours including 3 trains worked by 140s. There was a big change on the local passenger front with 9 out of 12 REs but only 6 out of 17 RBs being loco worked. All the ICs were hauled by 181s.
