Another day in the Mosel Valley, starting in good light on the section between Neef and Bullay. The middle of the day was spent on the east-west section through Pommern but the sky rapidly clouded up and I headed north in search of the sun. Winningen looked promising but by the time I’d walked out to the spot west of the station any hope of getting the sun had gone. After a couple of hours I gave up and returned to Koblenz.

Another busy day with 21 different freights seen. All the ICs were hauled by 181s again and 9 out of 10 REs and 12 out of 19 RBs were worked by 143s. This time there were two different sets out with a 143 at each end. In both cases both locos were working.
