Ugly Unit
These Gloucester RC&W Class 128 motor parcels vans must be the ugliest units owned by BR. They were designed to be able to haul a parcels van or two and had more horsepower than most DMU vehicles to help make up for their lack of good looks. 55989 was stabled at Manchester Victoria on the afternoon of 30 January 1982.
