Western Exile
Swindon built Class 123 Inter City DMU 52097, 59818, 59823 & 52089 waited to leave Manchester Piccadilly with the 14:45 to Hull via Sheffield on 30 January 1981. These units were built for the Western Region but transferred north in the late 1970s to work Trans-Pennine services. The DMU on the left is Gloucester RC&W built Class 100 50348 & 56103.
