A Change For The Better
On my previous trips to the RhB, the Pontresina - Scuol-Tarasp trains were all worked by class Ge4/4II locos but in 2009's diagrams half the turns were in the hands of the older Ge4/4Is. As retirement approached for these venerable machines, their use on these relatively high mileage turns came a a bit of a surprise, but a very welcome one. No. 610 left Ardez for Scuol-Tarasp on train 1936 on 10 January 2009.
