The final day of the trip and a real anticlimax after three really good days. I had a plan to do some shots on the Oberstdorf branch then go across to the Füssen line but the weather thought differently and it soon became obvious that anywhere near the mountains wasn’t going to get any sun. There was a big blue patch between Immenstadt and Martinszell so that’s where most of the morning was spent. An abortive trip to Harbatshofen was followed by an afternoon east of Günzach where the sun occasionally appeared between showers.
ALEX were using 223.065 on the Oberstdorf shuttles again but 2143.18 was seen heading west towards Kempten in the afternoon so things could change again tomorrow. Once again there were only standard ALEX 223s on the München - Lindau workings. DB’s 218s were better behaved today with all the ECs being double headed as booked.
