15th Class 4-6-4+4-6-4 Garratt No. 387 climbed away from Sawmills with southbound freight 29, the 04:10 from Thomson Jn to Mpopoma, on the afternoon of 29 June 1987. The 15ths couldn't handle the same loads as a 20th but they were fast runners, equally at home on passenger trains as freight.
