Diverted Freight
Summer 2013 saw several Marktredwitz - Nürnberg freights diverted via Weiden to free up capacity on the direct route during bridge work in Pegnitztal. I spent four days on the line but there weren't as many trains as expected and the weather always seemed poor when they passed. This was the least worst picture.232.535 passed Oberteich, north of Wiesau with EZ51683, the 04:51 Zwickau - Regensburg freight, on 19 September 2013.
