ALEX International
The only loco hauled passengers on the diesel worked lines north and east of Nürnberg in 2011 were a handful of trains operated as part of the ALEX franchise. 223.062 rolled downhill past Obermainshof, on the descent from Neunkirchen to Sulzbach-Rosenberg, with ALX353, the 14:05 from Nürnberg Hbf to Praha hl.n. on 12 September 2011. The 223 would work as far as Plzen hl.n where a CD electric would take over.
