Quite a lot of sunshine today but a fair amount of cloud as well. The morning got off to a poor start as my first and second choice locations were both overgrown and I’d missed two 218 hauled trains before I found a clear spot. The third train was well worth getting even though it was only an ALEX. Instead of the usual blue liveried class 223, there was a mustard and silver Dispolok 223.007, just like the ALEX of several years ago, apart from the blue liveried coaches. Interesting also to see that the loco had been renumbered as a 223, it would have been 253.007 originally. A blue 2143 was briefly glimpsed at Immenstadt as I passed in the evening, so it looks like 2143.18 is still on the Oberstdorf shuttles.

218.326 worked the Oberstdorf - Augsburg - Oberstdorf IC turn as expected and should be on the Oberstdorf - Stuttgart - Oberstdorf tomorrow, always assuming the diagrams hold. Plenty of 218.4s around on the diverted ECs and the München - Kempten REs, .
