The weather hadn’t changed from yesterday so I went south after breakfast in search of the sun. The cloud continued all the way to the Gotthard without a break and from Göschenen the road was actually in the clouds. Approaching Andermatt, the visibility improved, revealing another layer of cloud above. Higher still, Oberalppass was in the second layer of cloud but not above it. I continued east to Dieni, near Sedrun, on the MGB line to Disentis and hung around for a while to see what was about.

The weather had changed by the time I got back to Göschenen - it was raining. I parked up for an hour at Intschi, about 8km south of Erstfeld, to check the traffic levels.

There was no sign of an improvement in the weather so I gave up for the day and went to find my hotel for the next four nights, the Post in Emmetten, high above the Vierwaldstättersee.
