First Of The Class
397001 entered the cutting at Greenholme with 1S75, the 16:07 Manchester Airport to Edinburgh TPE service, as afternoon turned to evening on 8 August 2020. Twelve Class 397s were built by CAF for TPE services on the northern section of the WCML. They entered service from the end of 2019, releasing TPE's Class 350 EMUs to bolster the LNWR fleet.
