DRS Class 88 electro-diesel 88.008 approached Daventry North Junction with 4M27, the 05:47 Mossend Down Yard to Daventry IRFT intermodal, on 14 September 2019. The 88's Caterpillar diesel engine is only rated at 940hp and intended to enable shunting around yards and terminals, like DIRFT, but too small for serious main line use.
