70817 passed under Rosemount Viaduct on the northern approach to Aberdeen with 6R38, the 14:05 calcium carbonate tanks from Aberdeen Waterloo to Irvine, on 21 April 2023. The calcium carbonate traffic from Aberdeen Docks to Irvine and Workington is the only regular freight traffic on the Aberdeen - Inverness line these days but only uses the line for around a mile before branching off at Kittybrewster.
