Dringhouses
Dringhouses, just over a mile south of York station was a good spot to watch and photograph trains. As well as all the passenger traffic, freights that avoided the station had rejoined the main line by this point. 47.282 accelerated a southbound train of oil tanks away from York Yard on the morning of 12 December 1981.
