Heartlands
47.840 led an unidentified class 87 and 1G33, the 15:35 Euston - Wolverhampton, through the industrial zone near Saltley, north-east of Birmingham's city centre, on 3 August 2003. Birmingham Heartlands was to be a new interchange station just around the curve from here and designed to handle most long distance traffic, but it came to nothing.
