A New Lease of Life
A number of ageing class 47 diesels were re-engined with EMD 645 engines for Freightliner a few years ago giving them a new lease of life. 57 012 was photographed in Moreton Cutting, east of Didcot, on 12 June 2003. The train is 4S59, a Southampton to Coatbridge container train.
