Diverted EC
Engineering work resulted in the closure of the München - Salzburg main line between Traunstein and Freilassing for a couple of weekends in October 2013. EC services were diverted via Mühldorf with diesel haulage. 218.426 and 218.402 wheeled EC217, the 05:08 Saarbrücken - Graz, south from Kirchanschöring on the morning of 26 October 2013. At the back it's just possible to see the class 101 electric, still attached to the train and waiting to propel once the train reaches electrified territory at Freilassing.
