Diverted DMU
Engineering work in September 2013 caused bottlenecks on the direct route between Marktredwitz and Hersbruck and occasionally resulted in passenger services being diverted via Weiden at short notice. 612.482 raced southwards at Oberteich, between Pechbrunn and Wiesau, while working IRE3090, the 13:01 Dresden to Nürnberg Inter-Regio Express, on 17 September 2013.
