Class 110 was introduced in the mid 1950s as DB's standard express passenger electric locomotive but they spent much of their lives playing second fiddle to the iconic class 103s. The 103s are history now but many of the the 110s soldier on, working passenger trains for DB Regio. 110.402 is one of a batch fitted for push-pull operation, classified 110.4. It was photographed on RE25517, the 13:09 Kassel - Fulda, passing Rothenkirchen on 26 October 2006.
