The Last Leg
Almost 25 hours after leaving Qingdao, train 1406/1407 was less than an hour from its final destination, Tonghua, when it was photographed passing Gangou at 10:30 on 6 October 2008. The loco, DF4D 0095, would have taken over at Shenyang Bei at 05:00 and worked the last 355km of the 1823km journey.
