
Industrial Interloper
GJ 1019 was a works pilot at Datong and was initially preserved there before moving to the Museum at Beijing, becoming the only industrial locomotive in a collection of ex-main line machines. The GJ 0-6-0T was designed by Dalian Works and 122 were built at Taiyuan and Chengdu between 1958 and 1961. The last report of a GJ in service was in 2006.
