Prototypes
The three class 1012 prototypes were intended to be forerunners of a large class that was never built. In 2003 a pair were regularly employed on Ro-La trains on the Brenner.1012 002 and 1012 003 were passing Gries station near to the top of the climb with a southbound Ro-La on 20 June 2003.
