C2C's 387302 arrived at Reading with 2K51, the 19:43 Newbury - Reading stopper, on 2 September 2021. Several C2C and Gatwick Express Class 387s had been drafted in to cover for ailing IETs, sidelined after cracks were found in the yaw damper mountings of some vehicles.
