A New Class
The lines north and east of Nürnberg are home to the small fleet of class 610 DMUs, Germany's first tilting units and a class I hadn't photographed before. 610.006 and 610.018 passed Hersbruck Ost, the junction of the line to Schwandorf, with RE3455, the 12:48 from Nürnberg to Marktredwitz, running combined with RE3415 to Bayreuth, on 12 September 2011.
