Carmont Jubilee
Carmont proved a good choice of location to photograph 'Bahamas' returning south from Aberdeen on 19 April 2023. The light was perfect at a number of locations but the easterly wind blowing off the North Sea would have been problematic at most of them. At least here, several miles inland and sheltered behind Carmont Hill, the exhaust remained clear of the loco.45596 worked 1Z29, the 16:36 Aberdeen - Edinburgh 'Great Britain XV', towards the summit north of Drumlithie, banked by 47802.
