Gypsum Loads
Barely 2 hours after arriving at Southampton with the empties, 69006 was heading back to Kent with 6Y83, the 18:22 Southampton Western Docks to Tonbridge gypsum loads. The train was photographed approaching St Denys, with the River Itchen behind, on 27 May 2022. After stabling overnight at Tonbridge, the loads would be delivered to British Gypsum's plant at Mountfield, south of Robertsbridge on the Tonbridge to Hastings line, early the following morning.
