ZSSK Cargo, also known as ZSCS, was formed in 2005 to operate ZSSK's freight services. Most freight is concentrated on the electrified network but there are some significant pockets of diesel operation. ZSSK Cargo has a varied fleet with some vintage classes working alongside more modern locos.
