Long distance trains connecting the industrial cities of northern Germany with the mountain resorts of the south used to be common but few now remain. One of the last is IC2082 from Berchtesgaden, in the Alps, near Salzburg, to Hamburg-Altona, which also conveys a portion from Oberstdorf. The train was a regular duty for a hired Dispolok in 2013 and 182.509 was in charge on 26 April 2013 when it was photographed near Möhren on the Augsburg - Treuchtlingen line.
