The Real Deal
The reason for visiting the Hersbruck area was to photograph 232s on freight and a clean 232.589 fitted the bill perfectly, even producing a nice exhaust haze to show it was working. The train was 45665, the 12:35 Nürnberg Rbf to Cheb freight, seen here passing Hersbruck Ost on 12 September 2011.
