The First Train Of The Day
The only way to get a picture of the first train of the day near the top of the Brocken is to climb the mountain on foot. We reached this spot in the saddle between the Königsberg and the Brocken after walking for about an hour from the car park at Ehrenfriedhof on the Braunlage to Bad Harzburg road, crossing the old border on the way.99.7240 worked train 8931, the 08:55 from Wernigerode, towards the summit on 12 October 2015.
