99.222 added to the fog blanketing the line between Wernigerode and Drei Annen Hohne on 9 October 2015. The loco was climbing towards Drängetal with train 8933, the 09:40 from Wernigerode to Brocken. There was a chance that the train would escape the clouds closer to the summit, but only a chance.
