No Slouch
The car shuttles may be formed of wagons rather than coaches but they're no slouches, covering the 18km between Klanxbüll and Morsum in 12 minutes at an average speed of 90km/h. 218.376 and 218.389 were into their stride as they traversed the Hindenburgdamm in glorious afternoon light with westbound AS-K1446 on 29 September 2015. The train, the 16:46 from Niebüll, was due to cover the 39km to Westerland in 35 minutes inclusive of a three minute stop to cross an eastbound shuttle at Keitum.
