High Above The Plains
The Hindenburgdamm starts well inland, just west of Klanxbüll station, and runs high above the flat plains for over 4km before reaching the coast, crossing two flood defence dikes on the way. 218.322 and 218.371 were photographed approaching the outer dike with a fully loaded westbound SyltShuttle on 21 July 2014.
