Engineering work on the main line between Regensburg and Nürnberg caused a number of freights to be diverted via Schwandorf and Hersbruck. 232.252 descended the bank from Etzelwang with a westbound van train on 25 April. Electric loco 185.388 was still attached to the train but not doing any work.
