The Pegnitz Gorge
It was totally overcast when I set out to find this location in the Pegnitz Gorge between Rupprechtstegen and Velden. Miraculously the clouds parted for a few minutes at just the right time to illuminate 233.306 passing on a westbound freight, the only loco hauled train I got in sun all day. 20 October 2011.
