Passenger trains on the lines I visited on the Jutland peninsula were normally all worked by DMUs at the time. DSB operated services on the main lines but many branch lines had been franchised out to commercial operators. Occasionally something more interesting appeared on a special working.
DSB DMUs of classes MR, MF (IC3) and MG (IC4) were seen on the Fredericia - Esbjerg main line in 2014 and 2015. Arriva DMUs of Class AR, Siemens Desiros similar to DB Class 643, operated services between Esbjerg, Tønder and Niebüll in Germany.
