Mosquito Meadows
This superb position west of Nova Pec isn't as pleasant as it looks. The area is close to wetlands on the banks of the Vltava River and infested with hungry mosquitos. It was worth sacrificing some blood to get this shot of 749.100 heading for Nove Udoli with Os8121/8120, the 14:07 stopper from Ceske Budejovice, on 12 August 2011.
