On the Climb to Lindong
QJ 7049 is seen here on the climb from Yamenmiao to Lindong with a westbound freight early one September morning. From Yamenmiao, the line climbs almost continuously to a summit beyond Chaganhada, over 50 km to the west and 200 metres higher. The fireman will have a lot of shovelling to do in the next couple of hours.
