Passenger DF4
DF4 2344 passed Xintaizi, north of Shenyang with train 278, the 17:00 Jiamuzi - Jinzhou overnight passenger, on 20 January 1994.DF4s in the 2xxx series were painted orange and geared for a 120 km/h maximum speed. They enjoyed a brief period of top link work before being displaced by even faster locos of classes DF11 and DF4D a few years later. Orange DF4 can still be found working secondary passenger trains in many parts of China.
