Crust's Away
A slag crust bit the dust on the morning of 10 November 2011.After all the molten slag had been poured out, the train moved forward to empty the solidified crusts from the ladles. This was usually achieved by rocking the ladle back and forth a few times but there was a device that could be dropped onto recalcitrant ladles from a great height to dislodge the contents if required.
