Survivor
47659 had just passed Marsden station and would soon enter the 3 mile long Standedge Tunnel under the Pennines with 1M73, the 11:24 from Newcastle to Liverpool, on 17 April 1987. Of all the locos photographed on that day, this is the only one to survive in 2025, as GBRF's 57306.
