Diggle Junction Box
An unidentified Derby built Class 108 unit passed Diggle Junction Signalbox on the misty morning of 17 April 1987. The unit was working the 08:39 Leeds - Southport service.Diggle is situated at the upper end of the Tame Valley, north-east of Manchester, and at the west end of Standedge Tunnel, which takes the railway under the Pennine escarpment of the same name to Marsden in West Yorkshire.
