800101 rounded the curve at Carmont with 1W11, the 10:00 from Kings Cross to Aberdeen, on 19 April 2023. The LNER IETs aren't as photogenic as the HSTs they replaced but they do make a good picture in the landscape, which is more than can be said of their GWR counterparts.
