Buxworth
31460 led 1M38, the 15:40 from Hull to Liverpool, through the cutting at Buxworth on the afternoon of 29 May 1986.31460 was withdrawn in 1993 but wasn't scrapped until 2006. Like several of the locos I photographed on this date, it was a candidate for a return to service with Fragonset in the early post-privatisation era but that never happened.
